What the additional services are?

Additional serivces provides improvements and additional functionality of your Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS / VPS) in the areas of density, management tools, recovery, and other areas. Specific benefits of the additional services we offer as well as their purchasing methods can be found below.

In order to keep costs as affordable for you as possible, additional services and VDS are billed on a per diem basis. For example, using 100 Mb of additional disk space no more than 10 days, we will charge you for this period, and not for a month. Pay for only what you actually use!

Additional disk space

If the disk space you are allotted isn't enough for you, but you don't need the additional features offered in a higher plan, you can add disk space to your current plan. Unlike change packages, this is a least-cost solution.

Additional disk space usage is billed at a monthly rate of 1 additional Meg of space in addition to your normal hosting fees. For example, if you purchased VDS-Strt package and wish to order additional 50 MB of space, we will charge you 50*0.01=0.5 USD per month.

Additional RAM

Memory is the single most important factor in the performance of a Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS / VPS). If you want your machine to do a lot of heavy lifting, add more RAM.

For the most part, web servers are inherently very memory intensive. This means that memory is a valuable commodity when it comes to hardware requirements. Additional RAM is billed at a monthly rate of 1 additional Meg of memory in addition to your normal hosting fees. For example, if you purchased VDS-Strt package and wish to order additional 16 MB of memory, we will charge you 16*0.15=2.4 USD per month.

Additional Traffic (Bandwidth) Allowance

Bandwidth is not an unlimited resource so we must allocate our clients a certain amount they can use each month. All Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS / VPS) plans come with a predetermined amount of monthly traffic allowance. If you exceed your bandwidth limit you will be invoiced for any additional bandwidth used at the end of the current calendar month, in line with our terms and conditions. Bandwidth cannot be purchased in advance - we count only used traffic.

All bandwidth listings consist of the sum of incoming and outgoing bandwidth allowance. Any bandwidth usage exceeding either the incoming or outgoing bandwidth total will be billed. But we will calculate only the predominant traffic per month over the monthly allotment for the plan the customer has opted.

In the ISPmanager control panel "IP Statistics" module, VDS owner can get instant visibility into how much of available bandwidth was used up.

The monthly bandwidth allowance is listed on your plan's feature page. We will monitor your bandwidth as necessary and will notify you by e-mail if your traffic is exceeding your allowance. nce you have received such notification, you can reduce your bandwidth consumption or upgrade your prepaid VDS plan according to your business needs.

Additional IP-addresses

A Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS / VPS) has its own unique IP address. Additional IPs - up to 256! - are available for a monthly fee when needed.

It is now standard practice to have multiple (somethimes hundreds) IP addresses. And the reasons (among other things) why do you need extra IPs are the following:

1. Hosting of multiple secure SSL (https) web sites.
2. Anonymous FTP Servers.
3. Capablity of multiple vhost for psyBNC.

You can have as many IPs as per your requirement. Adding additional IP address is instant and there will be no downtime to your server while adding or removing additional IPs. Each additional IP address will cost USD 1 per month per IP address with no setup fees. Please go to the page "IP addresses management" to purchase an extra IP address. Note that the section "Products" is available for registered users only.

Disk space for backups

Our Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS / VPS) include enough disk space to host and manage multiple Web sites on a single server account. But our VDS are not "geared" to store data backups - they are not as big. What we suggest is having one dedicated backup server. It is a real solution that will help you provide data integrity security for you and your customers.

Our company offers an FTP account located on a dedicated backup server to backup your server content. It will cost USD 2 per 1 GB/month.

ISPmanager Lite control panel supports automatic backup creation and work with existing backups.

Your Own Name Servers

Virtual DNS Servers (ns1.minivds.com and ns2.minivds.com) are now INCLUDED on all Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS / VPS) and was developed to give our clients access to true Virtual DNS Servers. These servers you should specify as Name Servers (NS) while changing DNS information of your domains and delegating them to our hosting, or purchasing new domains located on our hosting.

We also offer your own Virtual DNS Servers type ns1.your_domain and ns2.your_domain at the rate of USD 1 per month. This DNS type is not differ fundamentally from our server, but today it is much sought after goal for customers reselling hosting within their VDS. We should also note that Slave Name Server (ns2.your_domain) is located on DNS that is remoted from your VDS, maintaining its high reliability.

No matter which type of servers you choose (our servers or your own Name Servers), the control over your domains will be provided with ISPmanager control panel. Using Domain Names module, any user can easily operate his/her domains. And don't worry about your remote DNS servers information refreshment - ISPmanager will do it for you.

To order this service, first you must have a VDS. If you do already have one, enter your "Products" page and use the form of viewing/modifying your server properties to request Your Own Name Servers.

ISPmanager Professional control panel

The richly featured ISPmanager Lite control panel is setup by default on all our Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS / VPS) and includes the most comprehensive set of advanced capabilities. From the control panel a VDS owner can carry out great variety of tasks concerning his/her VDS management - from sites and users creation to firewall configuration.

The ISPmanager Professional control panel includes all the Lite version feutures, plus has a range of additional functions. Designed for professional developers, designers or resellers, the ISPmanager Professional control panel includes comprehensive account management tools to help you keep on top of your transactions.
